MOUNT SNOW — Freestyle skiing and snowboarding’s elite athletes converged at Carinthia in January 2009 and over 20,000 fans on the snow and millions on live NBC coverage, witnessed the event as Mount Snow hosted the second stop of the inaugural Winter Dew Tour. In 2010, the Dew Tour returns to Mount Snow, but this time for the Toyota Championships.
The finals of the Dew Tour, set for Feb. 5-7, is the crowning jewel of the three-stop tour and athletes will be throwing down for a piece of the $1.5 million cash purse and the Dew Cup. Athletes such as Simon Dumont, Danny Davis, Torstein Horgmo, Bobby Brown, JF Houle, Scotty Lago and many more will be competing in slopestyle and super pipe competitions over three days.
While the action takes a break, fans can check out the Festival Village right in the Carinthia Base Area. The Village features sponsor booths, interactive games, athlete autograph signings and tons of free stuff.
Other Dew Tour stops include Breckenridge, Colorado in December and Snow Basin, Utah in January. The Winter Dew Tour and the Toyota Championships is produced in part by a grant from the Dover Economic Development Committee.
